Silent Film & Live Music
The idea of the project was conceived with the enthusiasm of offering another dimension to the familiar experience of a classical concert. Adding the visual aspect and the theatrical narrative, the classical repertoire is given a new meaning and fills up the Black and white movie with a great variety of musical colors and emotions.
The compiling of the musical repertoire and its adaptation to the movie, as well as the tailoring of complete scenes over some of the greatest classical music master pieces of all times, is a fascinating process in which we perform, interpret, revive and give a personal emotional angle to the scenes and to the most familiar musical pieces as well.
During this working process we felt the need to expand the musical spectrum and to create a collage of genres including: Jazz, Pop songs, Folk music, Oriental, Free improvisation and also some classical repertoire we arranged for Violin and Piano.
